Labour Councillors in Bollington have been instrumental in ensuring public ownership of Council and Community buildings. They have initiated a Climate Emergency in Bollington and have orchestrated a Transition Bollington initiative. Labour are at the forefront of protecting green belt in Bollington as part of Cheshire East Site Allocation for housing.

The long running saga of the adverse effects of the A6 on Disley residents needs to be investigated. Our Parliamentary Candidate Neil Puttick has called for an independent investigation on the environmental impact on the health and well being of residents. Cath Birchall, Labour Councillor on Disley Parish Council has organised a petition, and Labour has ideas on how to improve the situation.  It is time for action in Disley; not empty promises.

Labour Councillors on Cheshire East Council will be happy to listen to any actions emerging from the Gawsworth Neighbourhood Planning Meetings.  This includes any issues regarding house building and the holiday homes on the Hollands Nursery site.

Labour Councillors in Macclesfield have agreed to investigate (Ward by Ward), bin provision in the Borough. They have pushed for lighting on Middlewood Way via Cheshire East Council; if not the Macclesfield Council will resolve it. They are determined to investigate abandoned properties.  They will do this via recommendations to CEC enforcement.

Poynton suffered recently from the heavy rains and flooding occurred.  This is the second time in the past three years.  Labour Councillors in Cheshire East are committed to seeing the threat is reduced.  Poynton High School has severe lack of funding.  Our Parlimentary Candidate Neil Puttick is working with the Council and other national agencies to help remedy the situation.

Labour Cheshire East Councillors will listen to concerns raised at the Parish Council regarding School standards, the state of the roads in Prestbury and supporting local businesses.

We are keen to see the continued protection of the Green Belt around Sutton, Langley and Lyme Green.  Labour Councillors in Cheshire East will work alongside the local Parish Council.
